I'll always remember the first contact I had about this bespoke commission - I was in a swim-up cafe in our resort in Turkey when Nikki's mum Jennifer got in touch to see if I make wedding dresses. At least for our first consultation I was dressed more suitably!

Nikki wanted a pared back, sleek silhouette with a square neck - figure hugging but supremely elegant. We browsed fabrics and it was a silk-based slipper satin which Nikki fell for - the perfect choice for this classic gown. 

Flying in for fittings from Copenhagen, each time with Nikki's family was a great experience for me - such a close and warm family. I also enjoyed making Jennifer's mother of the bride dress ... and later her aunt's mother of the groom dress too.

Nikki and Oskar married at Banchory Lodge hotel on the banks of the River Dee in Aberdeenshire where their day - other than being a little gusty - was blessed with outdoor ceremony weather.
