Silk Society - Margaret Lee - True Vintage

At a time when the vast majority of all the world's wedding dresses are manufactured in China - it's great to find a gem like this from the days of quality UK manufacturing.

This is a 1990s silk dupion gem in ivory and gold. The central bodice panels front and back (a deep v basque shape - what else would it be for a dress of this age?) the sleeve heads and a train insert are all in gold silk brocade and the main body of the dress and train are in raw silk - dupion. The bodice seams are all piped in the gold fabric.

The entire hem - and the train insert - is edged with a beautiful ivory cotton lace.

Gold roses and leaves sit at the base of the basque waist at the back and smaller ones sit at the edge of the sleeve and train inserts.

It's not made for the tallest of brides so do check the length please.
