Before the grand ballgowns, before the feathers and the theatre, there was Phoebe — a glimpse of Ian Stuart’s early mastery of clean lines and understated luxury.

This original Ian Stuart design is a study in simplicity done perfectly. A soft A-line silhouette in light ivory taffeta flows into a delicate chiffon overlay at the back that drapes into a floaty, romantic train. The straight bodice line is supported by fine, diamante spaghetti straps — a detail echoed at the waist with a subtle band of sparkle .

At the back, two long chiffon ties trail from the waist to frame the train. It’s feminine without fuss, elegant without excess.

A rare example of early Ian Stuart restraint (he got over that phases to produce some OTT showsstoppers!), Phoebe is ideal for brides who love the idea of couture craftsmanship wrapped up in a classic silhouette.
