Petal to the Metal - Linea Rafaelli - True VIntage

This is a proper little fashion moment. A genuine 90s Linea Raffaelli classic with all the clean, clever lines of the era - empire waist (oh so now) and simple A-line skirt.

From the front, she’s all quiet elegance. A halter neckline, the softly structured bodice, and a simple shape that skims without clinging. And then you turn around.

The back is where things get interesting. Cut-away shoulders leading into a striking diamond-shaped open back- unexpected, a bit architectural and very, very good.

When she arrived with me, there was a tiny pull on the front bodice. The sort of thing you couldn't ignore close up. So instead of abandoning her to the unusable pile, I leaned in. Two oversized chiffon floral appliqués later, and suddenly she’s not just restored, she’s transformed. A little bit couture, a little bit “where did you find that?”, and entirely one of a kind.
