Petal Finish - Un Upcycled Tricker Bridal One Off

This started life as a very plain lace wedding dress... as you will see in the video.

Perfectly nice… but not exactly singing.

So I did what I usually do when left unsupervised with lace and too many flower appliqués. I completely transformed it. 🌸

Pinning flowers onto the mannequin, sewing those dramatic medieval sleeves, stitching appliqués one by one and gradually watching the whole thing come alive.

She’s now somewhere between Pre-Raphaelite painting, 1970s boho goddess and “woman who definitely owns several Fleetwood Mac records”. (Who me??)

I absolutely love bringing forgotten dresses back to life like this. Sometimes bridal needs a bit more colour and a bit less rulebook.

It has a dramatic open keyhole back. The lace has some stretch in it.
