Garden Kiss - Phoenix Gowns

I’m rather taken with the embroidery on this Phoenix Gowns dress. Instead of traditional ivory-on-ivory lace, the flowers and leaves are picked out in soft ivory and silvery taupe, giving the whole gown a lovely botanical feel.

Garden Kiss has a classic A-line shape with a fitted bodice and sweetheart neckline beneath a sheer illusion layer. The floral embroidery wanders over the bodice, across the little cap sleeves and down onto the skirt, becoming more scattered as it goes. 

The back is particularly pretty, with the illusion tulle allowing the embroidery to appear almost as though it’s sitting directly on the skin, finished with a neat row of covered buttons.

Then there’s the train. The embroidery gathers again around the edge in a fabulous border of flowers and leaves – definitely worth arranging properly for the photographs.

This is an unworn Phoenix Gowns sample dress, approximately size 16–18. It's never been taken up so it is suitable for a taller bride.
