Frosted Petals is a dresses that rewards a closer look. At first glance she’s slim, elegant and beautifully proportioned ...  but spend a moment with her and the detail really starts to reveal itself. This is an Ian Stuart gown from his botanical-inspired era, when lace, texture and elegant embellishment were very much his thing.

The bodice is softly structured with that unmistakable Ian Stuart silk corsetry underneath - supportive, flattering and beautifully engineered yet supremely comfortable. Over the top sits fine floral lace scattered with subtle sequins and crystals, catching the light in a very gentle, frosted way rather than anything too sparkly. Around the neckline, hand-cut floral appliqué rosettes cluster like petals each one finished with tiny crystal centres. It’s deliberately imperfect, organic and incredibly pretty.

The silhouette stays slim through the body before easing into a soft flare, with the lace overlay extending into a delicate,  hem and a graceful train.
