Capetivating Too – True Vintage
Let’s just get this out there: the late 1960s are now over 55 years ago. That means Capetivating Too is the real deal – true vintage, not just “retro.”
She’s a pristine pure white satin sheath dress – classic, clean and beautifully fitted. But the headline act is the cape. Long lace sleeves, a lace train that drifts behind, and a neat satin bow fastening at the neck. Lace trim runs down the front for a final elegant flourish. It’s very Jean Shrimpton in her bridal era, or a poised Lady Penelope finally saying “I do.”
The last time I had a 60s cape gown like this, it vanished from the rails in a heartbeat. There’s just something about a vintage cape dress that makes a bride feel like she’s floating.
UK size 8–10, in original condition and utterly swoon-worthy. Capetivating Too is proof that some things never go out of style.
