Bon Bon is one of those Ian Stuart originals that reminds me exactly why I fell hard for his work in the first place. Blush pink and crafted in silk taffeta with that softly lustrous, slightly slubby finish he loved to use, this is a gown that relies on construction and detail – and does it brilliantly.

The strapless bodice is wrapped and ruched with real intent, sculpting the figure beautifully all kept in place with his signature internal corestry. Tiny hand-placed bead accents are scattered like punctuation mark. From the hip, the skirt softens into layers of airy tulle, lightly quilted into a trellis effect with delicate stitched details that give it texture and depth but still looks as light as air. Tiny rose buds are finished with tiny diamantes.  And then there’s that bow – oversized, asymmetric and unapologetically Ian – sitting just off to the side like it’s been thrown on as an afterthought (it hasn’t).

This is a preloved gown for brides who appreciate couture techniques, a bit of drama, and the confidence to wear something genuinely individual. Sweet by name, but with plenty of bite.
