This silk mikado Sassi Holford is the perfect example of her mid 90s work - while other were designing in satin excess and wall to wall beading, it's a beautifully cut, cleanly structured masterpiece. Even today ot sits between tradition and quiet modernity.

A crisp neckline and shoulder straps that look sculpted, beautiful panelling throughout the cut, no extraneous detail. A sweeping train and covered buttons finish the look.
