Silver Screen - Kitty and Dulcie

This is Kitty & Dulcie doing Art Deco with a wink.

Cut in the palest ivory jersey, the fabric drapes and pools in all the right places. The neckline gathers into a bold, geometric beaded panel at the waist. It’s all chevrons and symmetry. Very 1930s cocktail bar. Very “meet me at the Savoy”.

The short sleeves are generous and draped, almost Grecian, before the skirt skims the hips in asymmetrical ruching. A line of covered buttons runs down the side seam, adding that lovely old-school tailoring detail and leading into a high side slit. The silhouette is fluid but controlled — nothing stiff about her.

It’s not true vintage, but the Art Deco mood is strong. Think silver cigarette holders, cocktails in martini glasses, lacquered hair and low lighting.

Preloved, size 8-10 but might also fit a 12 due to stretch on the jersey, and in immaculate condition. Try her with long gloves?
