A true Ian Stuart pure silk original, Vanilla is everything I love about his designs — opulent, dramatic and just a little bit mischievous. In a dreamy blush pink/taupe tone, she balances vintage decadence with corseted glamour: part high-society hostess, part Moulin Rouge muse.

The heavily beaded basque corset shimmers with horizontal silver bugle beaded detailing, cinching the waist to perfection before spilling into a ruched satin bustle that sweeps over a glittering lace underskirt. Every inch is a masterpiece of texture and movement — bows, flowers and all the theatrical flourishes you’d expect from the late, great Ian Stuart.

Converted from its original zip closure to a corset back for a flexible fit, she still comes with her original covered buttons — because an Ian Stuart gown deserves her full regalia. A few dust marks on the underside of the hem tell the story of a life well-lived, but they’re invisible when worn.
