Rosy Pink – True Vintage
If you’ve ever dreamed of being pretty in pink (with a dash of vintage glamour thrown in), Rosy Pink could be your perfect match.
This true vintage wedding dress from the late 1960s/early 70s is crafted in rosy pink brocade woven with delicate gold lurex – a fabric that gleams softly as you move. And here’s her secret weapon: although she’s currently a size 8, she has an astonishing seam allowance with at least 4 inches to let out on each side. For a vintage gown, that’s practically unheard of and makes her a rare one-off that can be tailored to fit.
The high neckline adds a regal 60s feel, finished with fabulous pink ostrich feather trim and flower detailing – a nod to all the exuberant style of the era. Long fitted sleeves open into dramatic angel sleeves (a Stevie Nicks bridal fantasy, no less), and the full skirt is cleverly shaped with inverted box pleats for volume without bulk.
A delicate rolled hem finishes the skirt and sleeve edges. Look closely and you may spot a touch of fraying in places, but nothing that shows when worn – it simply adds to her authentic vintage charm. Rosy Pink is made for a bride who isn’t afraid to make a statement and loves the idea of being “in the pink” in true vintage style.
