Sometimes I can't believe my luck when I open a non descript parcel delivery ,,, and fine something jaw dropping like this ensemble.

There’s something wonderfully cinematic about this Dante by Ronald Joyce ensemble — a minimalist satin sheath paired with the most elegant, full-length coat, sweeping train and all. It feels as though it belongs on a windswept Scottish hillside or gliding through the closes of Edinburgh’s Old Town for a romantic elopement.

The dress itself is impossibly stylish: a slim satin column with delicate straps, horizontal bodice detailing and a line of covered buttons that trail down the back. Understated, impeccably cut and quietly glamorous in that early-2000s way that’s suddenly very modern again. 

But the best part is she's sensible contemporary UK size 16. 

And then the coat... I'm not sure why anyone would want to take this off to show the dress below to be honest. Luxurious matt duchesses satin, floor length, clean lines, and a dramatic train. It’s rare to find these Dante by Ronald Joyce sets complete — and rarer still to find one in such immaculate condition. There is zero evidence of it ever being tried on, never mind worn - still with plastic tags which would have held the card labels. She’s a true “new old stock” treasure.
