Lyra - Rowley Hasselballe

A one-shoulder wonder with curves in all the right places, Lyra is sculptural, striking and not remotely traditional. She has that celestial, statuesque energy – like she’s stepped from the stars – but with a sleek, modern twist.

Part of my Rowley Hesselballe consignment (a brilliant label now sadly defunct), Lyra is named for the constellation, and she dazzles accordingly. Clever ruching runs throughout the bodice and skirt, shaping and enhancing every curve. The one-shoulder neckline brings full drama, balanced with a single slim sleeve detailed in soft ruching and finished with zip closures to keep the fit neat and close at the wrist.

At the back, a row of faux covered buttons gives the couture finish, but no fiddling is required – a hidden zip does the work. The full-length silhouette is clean, modern and comfortable, with just enough stretch to move with ease.

Brand new, unworn and in a UK size 14, Lyra is perfect for fashion-forward brides, city ceremonies, winter elopements or as a statuesque second look. Once she’s gone, she’s gone – and she really is out of this world.
