Katy's Choice -Peter Brandon Couture - True Vintage
I can bring you this gem courtesy of my daughter who came across it and immediately called me!
Designed by Peter Brandon Couture of Northampton, this gown comes from one of Britain's respected bridal houses of the 1990s. The label was stocked by bridal boutiques across the UK and employed talented in-house designers, producing beautifully made gowns with a strong emphasis on quality fabrics and classic British dressmaking.
The bodice is in a beautiful silk damask and the skirt and train are all in the much beloved silk dupion of the late 1980s and early 90s. A sweetheart neckline and straps wide enough for any bra beneath and a deep v basque waist front and back. The bodice/skirt seam is piped with silk too.
With a heavy nod to late Edwardian bustle styles with a ruched apron front feeds up and to the back where it leads into a train which is grand but of manaegable proportion.
Preloved with a couple of very minor marks on the skirt at the hem - she's in over all fabulous condition.
Thank you Katy - now find me another!
P.S. the zip works perfectly - but this mannequin is a tad too small for the bust on this on.
