First Lady - Priscilla of Boston
This one’s a bit special. An original Priscilla of Boston Europe gown dating from the late 1980s to early 1990s, and the very first that’s ever made its way onto the Tricker rails. (Beverley’s officially obsessed with this labels and hopes to find more.)
This sleek A-line beauty is pure white with a classic scoop neckline, edged in rows of delicate silver seed beads. The real showstopper is the wide beaded waistband - a cummerbund-style belt intricately embroidered with silver thread and soft gold floral detailing. It catches the light without straying into glitzy.
The bodice dips into a very on-trend low square back, finished with a row of covered buttons, and the skirt fans out into a smooth, sweeping train. It’s giving minimalist elegance with a touch of luxe 90s red-carpet energy.
Priscilla of Boston was the name in American bridal design for decades. Founded in 1945, the label dressed everyone from high-society brides to Jackie Kennedy’s wedding party. Their gowns were renowned for craftsmanship, structure and attention to detail. This European line was made in smaller numbers, so finding one is a bit of a vintage jackpot.
