Dream Weaver - Mori Lee

The embroidery on this Mori Lee gown is quite exceptional. The strapless sweetheart bodice is covered in an intricate design of scrolling leaves and flowers, worked in embroidery, tiny pearls, crystals, sequins and beads. Look closely at the photographs and you'll appreciate just how much detail has gone into it.

The gown has a beautifully fitted bodice and hips, with the embellishment following the shape of the body before the skirt flares out into layers of soft ivory tulle. It's a lovely example of a fit and flare silhouette, with the fullness starting quite low to give a long, elegant line.

The train is magnificent, with embroidered floral detailing scattered across the tulle and a substantial embroidered border running around the entire edge. The contrast between the heavily embellished bodice and the softer skirt works extremely well.

At the back, there's a gently dipped neckline and a long row of fabric-covered buttons. The embroidery continues across the back of the bodice, with the same attention to detail as the front.

This is an unworn Mori Lee sample gown, in a warmer shade of ivory than the photographs suggest.
