Dream Catcher - True Vintage
A whimsical, romantic early 1970s wedding dress in pristine white. There are no fabric labels ((not unusual for those days) so it's hard to establish what this gown has been made from, but it definitaly has the feel of a silk organza.
A modest round neckline enbellished with darlin daisy lace motifs which extend around the empire waist line. The waist lline rises into a point at the centre bust (and whisper it ... but an empire waist is perfect if there are three of you wlaking back down the aisle!)
Whilst the bodice and a-line skirt are lined, the period ballon sleeves are edge at the upper arm and cuff with the same daisies. They also make a starring appearance on the train. Can anyone tell me how the 70s managed to get trains to sit just so perfectly? They have a perfect proportion and I personally can't get enough of them. The soft organza fabric make this one light and airy - a dream (catcher).
The perfect vintage elopment gown in my opinion! ANd the good news is she's a contemporary size 10!
