Cannes - Stunning Ian Stuart Original

There's a real 1950s influence in this delightful ballerina length Ian Stuart unworn sample dress. 

She's still got all her original tags on her and her price of £1550.

A sweet heart neckline which is edges with unmistakably Ian Stuart diamante detailing from a time of what I think of as his "restrained glamour" period ... still unmistakably Ian Stuart, but before the exuberance of his later named collections really took hold.

The ruched bodice has all of the unbelievable structure beneath which holds you in superbly. No falling down here.

The ballerina length skirt is made from voluminous soft tulle underpinned with a more structured taffeta.

As an unaltered Ian Stuart, there will be decent deam allowances which mean this dress could be let out by at least one size. Ian Stuart gowns also lend themselves well to having a corset back added. 

I look at this dress and see Audrey Hepburn in it with a pair of ballet flats and a birdcage veil.
