Ellie had dreams of a Jane Austen inspired dress. She selected this very soft ivory antique lace and luckily the supplier had just enough to make her gown before it was discontinued. Layered over the softest antique pink, it provided the nod to the past which Ellie wanted. And the look was perfectly topped off with a bouquet of flowers which Ellie grew in her own garden.
Excited as Ellie was about her dress ... it was her veil she had a love-in with at every fitting. It was made from a tulle matching the lace ground and then edged with 10 metres of antique style lace to echo the lace trim on her gown.
The bridesmaids' dresses were toning soft pastel colours - sky blue and pale pistachio. Both had loads of back detail. Kristen's had a deep V back and a kick out extended skirt, while Emily's had a soft, deep cowl back, slim over the hips but with lots of volume at the hem.
In Jane Asten's own words, "There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart."
